Mr. Joseph Shuffer - MSO Founder & President

President and CEO of Morning Star Oil and Morning Star Exploration. Mr. Joseph Shuffer founded Morning Star Exploration in 1997 with the vision of acquiring undervalued oil and gas leases.

Mr. Shuffer’s extensive background includes decades of successful energy industry acquisitions and drilling developments. He started his diversified energy industry career in a truly hands-on manner: as a roughneck in 1978, during the summer break while attending University of Texas.

After completing college he went to work in the Permian Basin where he participated in drilling one of the biggest and deepest oil wells in recorded history, a massive find that used 5.5 inch drill pipe, 13.5 inch collars, and a 21 inch drill bit to reach its goal.

To this day Morning Star Exploration owns significant production credentials in Texas, Oklahoma and the Appalachian Basin. These wells have successfully produced over $1,000,000 of gas and oil a month. In turn, distributions go out monthly to the investors of the various projects.

Joe currently maintains a home with his lovely wife & five children in sunny Carlsbad, CA. There he has been happily able to enjoy his natural athleticism, his love of family, and personal pride in his community service, which includes his coaching Pop Warner Football for the last ten years.

Joe has also been actively involved in Christian prison ministry and helping the underprivileged youths in society.
